Jaren and Tiffany... Simper!

Jake and I went to St. George for his sister, Tiffany's wedding. This is the only sister out of the four, that has red hair like Jake, they look so much alike. It was beautiful weather! The temple was just georgous along with the new happy couple. We had such a great time with Jake's family the three days we were there. It was sad to finally come home but we're so happy for Jaren and Tiffany! Love you guys!
The sisters and niece: Me, little Kenedy, Jentry, Tiffany, Tanya, Mindy. They are all so short and tiny, I felt like Goliath next to them.
They were so happy and glowing all day! I remember saying, "We're married???" all day when we got married. So fun! They took off for Cancun for their honeymoon and now they are settled into their little home.

Our busy start to Fall

We've been running @ full speed since the end of August. Jake made it home safe from Alaska. He had a blast and made us some moola. After I picked him up @ the airport we took off for a stay @ Daniel's Summit Lodge... so amazing! We rode the alpine slide and did some shopping in Park City the next day. I was SO thrilled to have him home! We both started school the next week. Jake will be happy when he never has to look back on school and I'm loving my new program in Radiologic Science. I'm @ Logan Regional Hospital 3 days a week taking x-rays. I hope I don't have to see any of you there. I really enjoy it though. There's always something exciting in the emergency room or in the operating room. I'm learning so much!

Jake has decided to get me back into motorcycles. I've gotten a few bruises from the kick start but I've had a lot of fun riding trails with him. We just got home from a three day trip to Lake Powell. We were even lucky enough to have both families there @ the same time!

Jake on the wake board and me on a ski.

That's a little inappropriate... but it took balance, give us some credit.

Happy 26th Jake!

Jake's birthday was on the 10th. Althooooough... he jumped on the plane for Alaska the 8th, so we celebrated his birthday a little earlier this year. He got to golf with his dad that week and get packed for Alaska.... (he loves it up there, big, dangerous animals to prey on) We had some friends over for cake and ice cream and headed over to the Cache County Rodeo. YEEHAW! Jake is sooooo goodlooking in wranglers and his cowboy hat!!! It rained hard the whole night. But we were so snuggly warm and dry in the grandstands. He opened his gifts when we got home and toasted to his departure the next morning with some IBC rootbeer. Jake will be home on the 22nd. I'm alive to say the least, and can't wait till he's back home to keep my company. He's livin' it up in the wilderness, but says he anxious to be home. What an understatement!

Ahhhh Pioneer Day.... I'd never heard of the day until I moved to Utah. But how sweet to have another summer holiday to relax and play in the sun. Jake had the great idea to take us up to Downata Hot Springs in Idaho. How perfect did this work out? Holiday for us, cause we're in Utah... and weekday, non-holiday rates at the water park! Wahoo! We had such a blast with Thom and Emily. We brought our camera but played so much we forgot to even take it out for some shots. For water slides we loved the long, slippery ride down the DRAGON and the quick, weggie making BLACK HOLE! If anyone hasn't been you gotta check it out. Here's the website and some of their advertised pictures. http://www.downatahotsprings.com/slides.htm

My Cadbery Bunnie

This is my Cadbery, isn't she cute? Even though we really wanted to keep one of the puppies, we decided that it wasn't a good idea to have a dog in our apartment. So one day Jake surprised me with this cage he whipped up from scrap wood in the garage and promised me a bunnie of my choice! I know... he's amazing! He even added a "hop-away door!" Having something to take care of and play with while he's in Alaska might ease the pain. It's only 2 weeks this year but really... it's gonna be lonely. She's still so tiny and super soft! It's been fun to have her.

Willow Flat

Yesterday after work, Jake and I packed up and headed up to Cub River. It was soooo beautiful!!! Definately our next camping spot. We layed on the bug spray and sinched up our packs and hit the trail. Everything was georgous! I was a little picture happy. The trail got really steep and rock and loose dirt made it a challange but I stayed on Jake's heels. I can't believe he does this every day for a month in Alaska. We got down the mountain just as the sun went down and then even saw a yearling moose on the drive home! I'm glad Jake is such an outdoors guy. I learn so much from him and we always have a blast. Check out our pictures.

Oh yeah... I cut my hair a couple weeks ago.

There she is. This is a view from the road of the mountain we hiked.

A rock took our picture.

Look at all that energy. Can you imagine what our sons are gonna be like? :)

Look at all the pretty wild flowers.

Finally the top!

PUPPIES!!!!!

We bred Jake's lab a few months ago and look what we got!!! Sooooo cute... I know. They're about 6 weeks now and I can't get enough of them. They hop around the lawn with floppy ears and cuddle up in my lap. There are 4 black and 2 yellow. If anyone wants a lab, they are papered, have their first shots and we're gonna sell them soon.

Our 1st Anniversary

June Ninth was our anniversary. I can't believe we've already been married a year! Our wedding day was so fun, so we decided to head back down to Manti. We went through a session Saturday and watched the "Mormon Miracle Pageant" on the hill. It was so beautiful! I love that temple. We set up our little tent and camped over that night. Conveniently we were able to stop in Highland on the way home Sunday and see Jake's dad for Father's Day. Earlier in the week we exchanged a few gifts. Jake got me the cutest pedal bike. We bought him one just recently so we've loved being able to go on bike rides together. I got him some new shorts for Summer and a shirt he'd wanted in Old Navy. I made some Apple Pie and we went out to dinner. This past year has been so great. We're really looking forward to finishing school so we can start our family!
The very end of the show where all the angles appear and sing.

Check out the sheep. We saw a cowboy herding them across the Highway.

My new bike! Thanks hun!

Alaska

I dread every August. Jake works as a big game hunting guide a couple months out of the year. He absolutely... LOVES to hunt! Although, when the time comes I'm lonely. :( Last year Jake only went for a month. It was still MISERABLE! Being separated for a month without even a phone, just 3 months into our marriage sucked, to say the least. Well we've decided he can go again this August but thankfully because of school he can only go 2 weeks! Yippee! It will still be hard not being able to see or talk to him, but he's doing something he loves.... and I LOVE HIM! Hey we still have the whole Summer before he goes, so well soak it up.
This was a picture of us at the airport when Jake got home last september. See how hairy he is!

Bloomin'

I've decided to have a little green thumb this year. My parent's ward gave out tomatoe plants on Mother's day...... even though I'm not a mother yet I got to choose one! So we have "Mater" growing on our balcony. Then, I fell in love with this hanging basket at IFA last Saturday so as a surprise Jake brought it home for me. And inside, I have a little yellow pot on our table. The only plants I've ever had have come in a bouquet for a special occasion. They die in a week and that's over. But now I get to water often and watch their progress. We're so excited to have fresh tomatoes this summer. When we finally have some dirt of our own it will be fun to have a big garden!

$$$

Jake and I got our tax returns in the mail a week ago. We were also awarded a nice little sum for finiancial aid. And today, I gotta raise....WAHOO! We should enjoy it for the time. Who knows when it's all gonna change.
