New Years Eve

We set a family goal for 2022 and let it fly high. "Make your family proud" We wrote our names on the lantern. The night was so calm and clear. The lantern floated softly up over the house and we watched it for so long. We let the girls stay up until 10. We were ready for bed at 10 too.

December extras

The first week of December was actually very sunny and warm! Such a nice surprise! I mowed the lawn on December 4th! A few days later we were sledding :) Kynli got to "rock the halls" on the 4th. She was so proud! Jake got to hunt several times. Penny is really a great bird dog. This seems like a lot of pics of Charli. She is my little buddy everyday. Lunch with daddy, finding our elf Joy, class parties. I helped with Jayli and Kynli's class Christmas parties but don't have any pictures. I made a kahoot game. They loved it in both classes! Jake and I also got to go on a date one evening. Jensen's babysat. We went to dinner and A Christmas Carol play with Jake's boss and a few other employees. Kyn started fevering about 6 days before Christmas. Poor thing feels so miserable bc the fever makes her nauseous. She's had quite the battle with viruses lately. Breaks my heart. I've spent my hours pleading for her fevers to break. Seems like it's every couple weeks.

Christmas

We enjoyed another year at home for Christmas. Since it was my parent's off year, they decided to come for christmas eve and the 23rd to see us. Kyn had been really sick earlier in the week fevering for 3 days. We were happy when her fever broke on the 22nd, but her fever returned on the 23rd for some reason. We took her to see the dr in case she had an ear infection again. He said her ears could become infected but weren't then.We filled an antibiotic in case since all the pharmacies would be closed for several days. That evening (23rd) we all went to dinner at Kabuki. We gave Kyn some ibuprofin and she wanted to go to dinner. She felt good enough to enjoy the dinner. The plan was to go to the Mariiott and swim since grandma and grandpa were staying there that night. Jake asked Kyn if she wanted to go get a Jamba juice instead. She was actually so excited about the date and got to bed on time after. I took Jayli and Charli to the hotel. We exchanged sibling gifts and then had a fun time in the pool.
Luckily, Kynli's fever broke the next morning, Christmas Eve and her ears didn't become infected. We enjoyed time with my parents and the Weights. Playing puzzles, eating yummy food and making cookies. I cleaned the house like crazy and washed all the sheets and the bathroom my parents would be using to make sure they didn't get Kynli's virus. We made a yummy ham dinner that night for our 5 and my parents. The girls were excited to sleep in our room that night.
The next morning they looked out Charli's window and found some reindeer tracks. :) They were so excited to see what Santa brought. Polaroid cameras. My parents had fun sitting and watching all the excitement. We all got new bedding. Beddy beds and a fun new way to make your bed fast and easy. They got pretty pillows too. Kynli was most excited about her watch. Charli was so surprised she got the Lion she wanted. Jayli got sketch pad and sketch pencils. They all got lazer tag like they wanted and had fun all day playing. My parents gave all of us a trip to Mexico! We are going to the same resort we went to last January. We only have to buy our airfare but we have enough miles to get the 5 of us there. We cleaned up and my parents drove home. We played in the field behind the house on the sleds and snowmobile. A gorgeous sunset made us so happy to be at home together.
The next day we were supposed to all go to Lehi, but as I was doing Jayli's hair she got really pale and felt super tired all day. We decided she'd finally caught Kynli's virus. I talked Jake into just he and Charli going. It was our year to be with them and I felt so bad if we didn't go at all. They went to Lehi and had a great afternoon with his parents and his sister's families. Over the next few days Jayli's cold progressed and we were happy we kept her home. Nelson's gave the girls new nike shoes and us a very generous envelope of $$$. Grateful everyday I have with my family and really appreciate the days we're all healthy.

November Extras

We fought viruses all month and most of December. Kyn also got a bad ear infection. Jake and I had to make the hard decision to be vaccinated with the COVID vaccine or not. It feels like such a radical experiment. They used RNA technology and its new and untested. We decided without more information and time we don't feel comfortable receiving it. People that have been vaccinated are still getting COVID. Unfortunately the hospital is requiring all employees to get it. So we had to decide for me to give notice and resign at the hospital. It was a hard decision that I struggled with. But after much prayer and thought, we decided my employment wasn't necessary for our family at this time. It was actually stressful to find a sitter each time. And I'm happy to just focus on our girls at home and not worry about getting hours and an experimental vaccine to keep my job. My boss Melissa understood completely and hopes I will be able to come back in a few years if things change. I will keep up to date on my continuing education and licensing that I worked so hard for. And maybe I'll go back to work when the girls are older.

Thanksgiving

We went to Burley Thanksgiving day. We thought about coming the day after because Charli had just got over a fever. But we got there just in time for dinner and came home Friday evening. We made crafts, played games, hot tubbed, shot clay pigeons, enjoyed family, rode horses and of course ate delicious food! Grandma's house is a party. All of my mom's siblings and their families were there excepts Watsons.
