Charli's 1st Birthday

Charli's birthday landed on one of our busiest days. Regardless, we enjoyed celebrating her all day. We made pancakes and sausage for breakfast. She was mesmerized by the flickering candle. Of course J and Kyn had to have a candle in their pancakes too. We did our regular running around. School, kyn's first day of school, grocery store, dance... we had Kamryn and Jayme over for dinner. Jake made ribs, and Charli was so funny trying to eat them. We had a super cute cake made for her. She was so excited for me to put in on her tray in front of her. She was doing her "give it to me" hand gestures. She dove right in. Hands then her whole face. She was so dang funny.

12 months

Charli Sue is so stinking fun. She always wants to play. She loves to play with her big sisters and do everything they're doing. She really tries hard to keep up. If they go downstairs or outside without her  she gets really upset. She loves when we hide from her and chase her down the hall after she finds us. She is so adventurous and silly. She pulls anything she can reach out of every drawer and cupboard. Including a 500 ct box of Q-tips all over the bathroom floor, all the Tupperware and lids, splashing in the toilet, unrolling the toilet paper, sucking on everyone's toothbrushes, pulling all the books off the shelf, dumping out cereal and chips on the kitchen floor, throwing the clean laundry out of the basket so she can sit in it and soaking her shirt in tomato while she's snacking on it outside. Which leaves messes for me ALL day long!
Charli's most favorite thing to do is be outside. Exploring the yard and picking tomatoes. She loves playing with the hose, bouncing on the tramp, and cruising the sidewalk. She thinks she's big enough to ride the girls' bikes and gets mad when she doesn't get a turn. She can slide by herself on the little orange side. She can walk up the steps, sit down and slide down all by herself. She thinks she's so big! She can sign eat, more and all done.
Charli now has seven teeth. It's so funny to see them when she smiles. It makes her look so big. We can tell when she's getting a new tooth because she won't eat very well.  She likes to feed herself and doesn't like when we help her. If I put food on the spoon she can put it in her mouth. She likes to slurp baby food (fruit) from the little 4oz baby jars. I just punch a hole in the lid and put a half straw in it. She packs if around like she's super cool.  She also loves applesauce pouches, gogurt, veggie straws, crunchies, chewing on apples and cucumber slices, watermelon, raspberries, blueberries, bread, ice cream, chocolate chips, cheese, gold fish, popcicles, noodles, not really into meat but loves to drink from her straw cup. She really likes the gosner milks too. She will pick her own tomato in the back yard and chomp on it. She doesn't care is just covers her front and drips down tot her elbows. I love my little blondie so stinkin much!

Jayli's first day of Kindergarten

1st day of Kindergarten was a BIG deal! She's almost 6 and we've been waiting to start school for a long time. She has half day kindergarten in the afternoon from 12:30-3:30. Mrs. Olsen is her teacher. She's so smart and sweet and confident. I'm so lucky to be her mama.

Cox Sealing

My nephew was adopted by Jenna and Colton Cox. Jenna's family and my family have been friends since my mom and Tammy (Jenna's mother) were in high school. Now we share a nephew/ grandson. Colton and Jenna are such sweet parents for Jackson. He now has a little brother and loves all his cousins and new home. We get to see him regularly and are so relieved about his new life. Jake had to hand shutters but I took the girls to the sealing. Kamryn and Jayme babysat in the temple waiting room. Then we had a luncheon afterward at the cox church house. The whole outcome makes my heart so happy. His new forever family.

Diamond Rio

Ted and Robin invited us to the Diamond Rio concert at the Cherry Peak resort with them. Luckily with have nanny Kam around now. She watched the girls for us so we could go. It was a beautiful setting up at the ski resort. Of course the music was awesome! So many hit songs. Those guys are just plain talented.
