Kynli 4 month

Little Shae is 4 whole months! She is learning so fast. Today she rolled from her back to her tummy! What a little all star. She is now rolling constantly. Such a happy, content little doll. Kynli loves to chill in the stroller on walks with me and Jayli and Nelli. Loves to smile! She learned how to jump in her jumper this month too! We all love our sweet baby "kiwi" to the moon and back.

4 month stats:

14 lbs 7 oz

Drinks 6, 4oz bottles per day

Takes 2, 45 minute naps and 2 hour and half long naps

Bed at 8 then wakes at around 4am to eat

Lake Powell

 

We decided to attend the annual Lake Powell trip this Summer. I was nervous to have Kynli there since she was still so little, 3 1/2 months. But everything actually turned out great. Both girls did way better than I thought. We left home Thursday morning and drove all the way. We had to stop a few times on the way down to give the girls breaks. Once we got there Jayli jumped right into playing with the Armstrong kids. I was still nervous the first day and night trying to figure out how to get Kynli to nap and be happy on a hot boat with 25 people. But she did so great. She napped better there than at home. Probably because she was so worn out. Our four slept in the front room and the Simpers slept in the back room. Everyone else slept on top of the house boat. I brought filtered water and a thermos to use for Kynli's bottles. We would heat the filtered water on the stove every morning and fill our thermos. It would last us all day, so we didn't have to worry about heating bottles every time. We played in the sand and swam around the house boat and took turns out on the ski boats. I hadn't skied or wake boarded or surfed for 4 years! So I really enjoyed getting a chance to do it all again. We tried to talk Jayli into skiing but she wouldn't have it. Jake tricked her into surfing with him though, and we even got pictures. Jayli had her 3rd birthday while we were there. So I brought cake and candles. She got to open a few gifts. Jen brought glow sticks for the kids and Jake brought a glo bow to set off on top of the house boat that night. It was really cool. He's had it since his mission! The drive home was great. Kynli slept the entire time! She woke up once when we stopped to eat, but she just sat there so quietly while we ate. Jayli is 3!

3 years old! How did this happen? There is no way she's 3. And at the same time, there is no way she's only been in our lives for 3 years. I love this little angel more than I ever thought possible. I'm so lucky to be her mother. I love you J.

Since we would be on vacation over her actual birthday, we celebrated on labor day with our local friends and neighbors at home. We had a blow-up jump house and cake and ice cream in our backyard. Jayli loved it when we all sang to her.

She is such a little ball of energy. Just like her dad, she is always go go go! She is always so excited about EVERYTHING! Yes it's tiring but I also love that she is so enthusiastic. Her vocabulary has grown so much this last year. She says it all and understands too. It's fun to listen to the way she says things in her tiny 3 year old voice. She sings all the princess songs too. One thing funny though about the way she talks is that she always mixes up "cks" sound of the word. Like fix, she'll say "fisk." Or Nixon and Lexi, she'll say "niskon and lesky." Other words she says that are funny are, "Kramyn, cramera, dance crav." It's so adorable. She has the best imagination. She likes to pretend to be everything. A superhero, a doctor, a princess, a hunter, a mommy, a teacher, a waitress, a dancer, a baby, a barrel racer, a photographer, a monster, and any animal. Jayli copies everything we say. From bossing Nelli around to talking baby talk to Kynli.

Jayli started ballet this September. She LOVES it, and she's good at it.... of course. Besides dance she loves to ride her motorized four wheeler, her trike and help me push the stroller. J loves nursery and playing with friends, and of course everybody is her friend. However her BFF is Capri Karren. Her favorite food is quesadilla and "dip" (sour cream) Her favorite book is "the best mouse cookie" Her favorite movie is currently Beauty and the Beast. Her favorite thing to do is go get the mail on her four wheeler or play race cars or ride sparky (her stick...unicorn) She knows all of her capital letters, colors and shapes and the alphabet song.

was 36.25 inches tall (30%)

and her BMI was 16.2 (65%)

Jayli wears a size 4T usually and size 7 shoe

No naps since February :(
