Movie Night

Jake's adorable little sister Jentry hooked us up with a sweet movie night in highland. She bought a projector and set up a screen in the back yard. The whole family was there (minus the simpers). We put J to bed in the house and watched the new muppet movie. The Armstrongs brought all the yummy treats. Way better than the theater! Nelli even got to sit on the lawn and watch too.



1st Father's Day

Jake is such an amazing father! He shows us all the time how much he loves us. He spoils J and I constantly. He always puts us first. We appreciate everything he does, he really never stops running but still gives us so much of his time. We're so lucky to have him! So we spoiled him with a new camp chef!

 

J happened to get a haul of toys from Grandma Durfee @ the same time. It was like Christmas!

5 Years Baby

For our 5 year anniversary we went to Bear Lake. We stayed at Jake's boss's cabin in Bloomington. We took sweet little Jayli with us. I know it's our anniversary, but we loved having her there with us! The landscape was so beautiful! Jake made us breakfast and J had a bath in the sink. We had so much fun!

 

These two crazies had quite the surprise for me. Jayli brought me a pretty wrapped box. I was thinking earrings or a necklace......

So wrong! Jake got me another band! He had it made to match the other one exactly! So come to find out when he had my rings re-dipped and all shined up for mother's day, he was actually getting it molded to have them make me another one. The best part of the surprise... he had it all paid for! He put away a little money at a time and I didn't even notice. He saved and saved! When I found out how much it was I almost died! But he said we probably couldn't afford it on our 10 year because we'd have a bigger family then. He's so good at planning ahead and spoiling me!

 We met a bunch of friends at their cabin that afternoon for Capri's birthday party! She turned 1. She and J are BFF's!

9 Months!

Jayli has officially been alive out of my tummy, longer than she was in my tummy! Jayli is so smiley, so playful, so ADORABLE! She makes the funniest faces and can make everyone laugh. Jayli is very smart. She not only stands without holding on but has started taking steps a couple weeks ago! Her record is 6 steps. She has even started to stand up without grabbing onto anything, just in the middle of the room. The other day when Jake got home from work, he knelt down in the doorway and she smiled and crawled over to him as fast as she could. Then just to impress at the last second, she stood herself up and took three big steps right into his arms!! We all cheered and laughed. She is so big and smart.

Other new things about ms. J. She dances, (she does this funny head sway thing) likes to clap, splash in the tub, open cupboards, got her two front teeth, feed herself, uses her sippy, loves being outside, still HATES getting her diaper changed. She has discovered meat tastes pretty good, chicken, turkey, ground beef. Loves raspberries and strawberries... too much of a good thing makes for messier diapers.

 

 

 

9 month stats:

Weighs 17 lbs 1 ounce (19%) burning all her baby fat :(

27 1/4" long (40%)

Sleeps from 8:45pm to 6:30am. Three naps during the day.
Pretty great at "self soothing" to sleep now.
