Easter

Easter looked a little different this year. We still died eggs and hid eggs and rolled eggs and ate eggs! We used what we had and didn't worry about buying all the extras.
The most memorable part of our week was definitely Sunday. Our stake has permission to only do the sacrament in our home once a month. Easter was the day for April. Of course I couldn't document it with a picture but we were all in our Sunday best, sitting in the living room. Jake blessed the bread and a small cup of water at a small table in front of us. In the 25 years I've been participating in the ordinance of the sacrament, I have never been more grateful for it or felt the Savior's love so strongly.
We had a brief recap about the importance of the sacrament with the girls and how this was a very special opportunity. We had been reviewing and reading about the Savior's sacrifices and resurrection during the week. Thursday was the anniversary of His last supper. We ate dinner and had OUR last supper before we petitioned the Savior of the World for healing in a fast the following day. The Passover meal is THE symbol of divine rescue from disease and death. Then the next morning, Good Friday, we participated in a world wide fast for the pandemic.
This pandemic has brought plenty of frustration and fear. But it has also provided blessings that I have taken for granted. Purpose and priorities have been lined out perfectly. Family, health and the gospel is all that matters. And luckily we were given this once in a lifetime chance to only focus on those things.
