I turned 26. It was a Sunday so we got to relax. I even got a nap. We also had an extra hour before church because it was daylight savings. The night before we went out to dinner with the Simpers. Jake got me my first pair of real cowboy boots! Jayli and I played at the park and got a Jamba.

Halloween
Halloween is much more eventful with a child. We got to trick or treat and dress up and even carving pumpkins was funner. Jayli was a hoot. Ha literally, she was an owl. And the cutest little owl ever. She even said "hoooo!" Such a show off.
And the pumpkin walk was just perfect. It was warm, no crowds. Jayli loved following the path through the park and not being held....so independent. She danced to the music playing at each scene. We went with the Pratts and the Simpers. After the pumpkin walk we had soup and frosted cookies!

Prayers
The day we left for Costa Rica, Jayli and I had a blast. She was so giggly and fun. She laughed at everything I did and was just happy to play all day. I needed that. I was terrified to leave her. I knew she was in good hands but I was going to have Jayli withdrawls! At one point I bowed my head right over the couch and started to pray. Pray that she wouldn't be harmed or sad while I was gone. I asked Heavenly Father to protect my sweet baby and comfort us all. I sat up with tear filled eyes and noticed Jayli next to me in the same position. She had her arms folded and her head bowed into the cushion. She was praying too!!!!! I just couldn't believe it. She picked her head up and blurted out what sounded like "MEN!" Jayli is just so unbelievable smart and precious. I'll always remember this moment.
btw Jayli was safe as were we and she had a fabulous time with Grandma and Aunt Tiffy! Tender mercies bless me every day and I am so grateful for each one.

Fall Family Pictures
Our neighbor wanted some family pictures with the pretty fall colors last Sunday. I agreed to go up the canyon and take pictures of her family. She was sweet enough to take some of my little family too. Thanks Michelle!

A toddler she has become
Jayli grows and amazes us every day. Since her birthday last month Jayli has become more of a little girl rather than and baby. A toddler if you will. I watch her change daily and wish I could keep up with all of the differences. 1 year of age brings lots of new discoveries. Jayli gets to drink whole milk and eats lots of new foods. She absolutely loves scrambled eggs and cheese slices. Loves to get her teeth brushed, which she has 9 of. She is learning how to drink from a cup and hold her herself. She is picking up new words constantly. Jayli says: dada, eat, all done, kick, don't, GO! She tries to whistle, like we do for Nelli. She loves to give kisses... mmmAAA! :) She signs: all done, eat, and more. She nodds her head yes and no. And even says mmhum (yes) She loves cartoons: dispicable me, little mermaid, tangled and of course Einstein! Jayli can understand what we tell her most often. Things like "do you want to go OUTSIDE? Let's get your shoes on" She'll get me her shoes and sit down in front of me. "dada's home!" that's her favorite. "Open the garage" she pushes the button. "kick the ball" she does and says "KICK!" When she sees something she wants like food or drink she goes "MMMMM" haha or she signs eat. Jayli loves being outside, feeding nelli, riding her four wheeler, sliding, dancing, talking and reading books. She just started trying to make the animals sounds like we do.
While Jake was in Alaska, J and I went to Burley to stay with my family for a week. Jayli had the time of her tiny little life! She loved all the attention from....everybody! Grandparents, aunts, cousins, everyone loved Jayli and she showed off big time!
