Here's the starting point. 6 weeks... no belly. Don't mind the scars. I got those when I was 10.

8 weeks

10 weeks right before our first ultrasound.

15 weeks. Not sick anymore!

16 weeks. Squeeeezing into my suits to go to Hawaii.

17 weeks

18 Weeks. We felt the first little nudges and butterflys in this week!

19 Weeks. Lots more kicking. Jake felt it too!

And Jake was feeling a little left out so here's his 19 Weeks shot. :)

Alooooha

Hawaii wasn't what I thought it would be.... it was way better! Much more beautiful than I had ever imagined. Everything about the island was bliss. The scenery, the temperature, the people. The only thing that could have made this trip any better would have been if we could have stayed longer!

The girls got pedicures the night before we left. Mindy, Tiffany, Jentry and me.

We stayed over night in Vegas. Then got on the plane early the next morning. When we got to our beach house in Hawaii Jake stomped this out in the sand for me. We did a session in the Laie Temple.

We snorkled at Hanama Bay. Visited China Man's hat. We saw the sights at Pearl Harbor. Here's a good prego shot of me. Almost 17 weeks.

Jake loved diving down and collecting shells. We kept finding turtles on this beach. So we got on our snorkle gear and just floated right off the shore. We swam with some, literally 2 feet above them. So amazing! Probably my favorite part! Here's Jake with a big one. They're both giving the hang loose sign. :)

We rode up to Diamond Head and got a great view of the island. And the whole group hiked up to Wiamaya Falls.

Later we got some famous shaved ice at Mosimotos in Haleiwa. So delicious!
Jake and Jaren braved the massive waves at the pipeline! People were cheering on the beach. We went to the Polynesia Culture Center our last night. We walked around and had dinner at the luau. Then we watched the Ha Breath of Life show. Very very cool! Opening ceremony of luau.

Goodbye Hawaii. Goodbye beach house. Goodbye turtles, palm trees, white sand and blue blue ocean. Hopefully we'll visit again, with some little tikes next time. Mahalo!

Basement

Now that we're expecting a little addition to the family, we decided we should finish the basement this Summer while we have the time and money. So Jake is back to work framing, looking at our house plans and of course he always adds his own touch to make it look extra unique. He's designed a pretty cool play area. Complete with spiral stairs, peek windows, a castle like balcony and SLIDE! :)
Jake has been working so hard. We can't wait to get it done so we can start on the baby room!

The Best Surprise Yet

My sweet Jake has hand-crafted many amazing surprises for me over the years.

Our aspen bed he made before we got married and my nightstands for my birthday.

My shelf to match our night stands for Christmas.

My accent table for the entryway.

Our beautiful home and EVERYTHING in it... around it... under it. :)

Most recently my new entertainment center.

He's quite the craftsman. I knew he could make just about anything I wanted. So when I told him about the next thing on my want list...

he came through with flying colors! WHAT A MAN!

Our little bundle of joy is due September 7, 2011. I'm 13 weeks along. We're so excited to be parents soon. I feel so blessed to have the opportunity to be a mother. And even more blessed that Jake will be Daddy right beside me!

My Valentine

Jake took me to lunch for our Valentine date on the 14th. But the best part was having my sweet valentine just to myself for dinner. What a great night! We made 60+ sugar cookies and devoured them.

Mammography Conference

I decided to further my education in radiology by studying another modality. I went to Las Vegas to become certified to take mammograms. It was a week long course so I decided to take Tiff with me. Luckily we have an amazing uncle that lives just outside of Vegas. Jimmy let us stay with him for the week and sure showed us a good time!
