We planned a fun weekend for Kynli's birthday. We went to Anderson Cove with two families in our neighborhood, Hardings and Blacks. We had a large grassy area in the middle of the three camp trailers for the kids to run around and play. Charli loved camping. She was a great sleeper and entertained herself crawling around the camper when we were inside. She slept up by our bed at night. Jayli and Kynli loved playing with their friends. The played hide and seek and collected sticks. Of course loved the campfires and treats. We brought the girls' bikes (including Kynli's new big girl bike) and they loved cruising around the circle. We found a lilac bush to pick flowers for grandma Becky's vase. Saturday we had everyone come to our camper to watch the Trolls movie. It was too cold to do it outside but we all fit. We had popcorn and treats, the kids loved it. Jake let the kids take turns for a boat ride. Later that night we had a potluck dinner with everyone. Before the party I said, "Kynli, it's time for your birthday!" She jumped off her bike and started running towards us. She squealed the whole way over and had the biggest, most excited look on her face. Being the middle child sometimes she feels like she doesn't get a lot of attention. So she loved her party. Jake's parents drove up and there were 6 other kids there surrounding her with gifts and excitement. We had temptation cupcake make Kynli's cake. She loved the Troll theme. Of course it was delicous!
The next morning was Kynli's actual birthday and Mother's day. We greeted her with a big "Happy birthday!" when she woke up. We had a huge texas doughnut for her for breakfast. Jake helped the girls make mother's day surprises. They had a line tied between two trees and had hung posters and candy and cards with clothes pins. It was adorable. That day we stayed longer after our friends left. The weather was warm enough to go down to the beach and play in the sand. Beautiful day. When we got home and unloaded and had a bath we sang happy birthday to Kynli one more time and let her open her last gift. We all love this little sassy pants! She makes me so happy. She's my little cuddle bug. I love her snuggles and sweet little voice. I can't believe she's already 3!
