Cort's Baptism

Our nephew Cort was baptised this last Saturday. He is such a stud. I can't believe he's already eight. We are so proud of him. We had a great time with him and the rest of the family.
Jayli was so excited to show off her new Valentine dress.... or I was. Jayli also loved all the colorful balloons. She would giggle when Jake flew her through a big bunch of them like a plane. We have so much fun with her. I think of this Celestial phrase all the time.... "..Joy in your posterity" It is so true!

My Favorite Time of the Day

Jayli's first nap comes pretty early each day. By 8:30 or 9 she is exhausted. I wrap her up in my arms and we stand in front of my bedroom window in the sun shine. It feels warm and peaceful. She starts to doze off so I lay her down on a soft blanky on my bed and I snuggle under a warm blanket next to her. The sun fills the room with warm light and Jayli and I snooze away for 2 hours. I don't know how long this bliss will last but I sure love it for now. I love you Jayli.

Here are some other sweet pictures of her sleepy slumber lately.

Every time I look at her sleeping. I think of the lyrics in Silent Night. "Sleep in Heavenly Peace"
She is so worthy of those words. Sweet little angle.

Utah State hey Aggies all the Way

We sure love the Aggies at our house. Jake and I have gone to a couple games since Jayli was born, but after we found some baby earplugs, we decided she could experience the excitement too. She actually slept the first half. But she was wide-eyed before the end. She already wants to become a true Aggie too. :) We told her she has to wait till she's 20.

My 4 month baby girl

Jayli is 4 months old! Oh I love this age. I said that 3 months was my favorite but I think I love her more every day. She is so fun. I love that I get to stay home and play with her all day. Jake is so great to work so hard for us. I love seeing every new thing she does and how she changes. She smiles almost every time we smile at her. It's like she knows what a smile means.... Happiness! Right when she wakes up she is all smiles. Ear to ear grins. It is so funny. We love running in to say hello after a nap because she just smiles and smiles. She still practices on rolling over from her belly to her back. She can roll up on her side from her back, but I don't think she wants to lay on her tummy. :) She is getting better with the 45 minute nap thing. She will either put herself back to sleep or I'll give her a binky and she'll fall back to sleep. She is still so slobbery. She jabbers a lot. She started doing this yelling thing. She will take in a big breath and exhale with a loud aaaahhhhhh. She's usually smiling while she's doing it. We make that noise back and forth to each other. It's like we're having a conversation. She sits up in her bumbo seat pretty good. She would much rather stand and hold onto your fingers than lay down. She laughs more often now. Her little giggle melts your heart.
At her 4 month checkup. She weighed 13 lb 8 oz (42%) and she was inches 24 long (34%).
She drinks 5 to 6 1/2 ounces 5 times a day.
We love that she sleeps 8 to 10 hours in her own bed still.
We had a fun little photo shoot on her 4 month birthday.

She makes new friends every day. :)

We love you sweet Jayli. Don't grow up too fast.

Merry Merry Christmas

We had a very merry Christmas in Highland this year. We opened some gifts at home on Christmas Eve before we left. Jayli didn't quite know what to think of all the tearing and awhing but she seemed to like all the excitement. She got so many fun toys. A jumper, play gym, books, hand toys, clothes. I got a steamer and cookie paddles for my Bosch! Jake got a hunting game and cot. We got a new computer for the basement. And the best gift of all.... Jayli started sleeping through the night. 9 to 10 hours! Thank you little pumpkin!
We drove through park city first and took a tour of this cool cabin. Jayli was being so funny for the camera the whole way. We played minute to win it games on Christmas Eve. So fun! I won a new Aggie shirt! On Christmas we opened gifts, had a delicious dinner, and played more games with Jake's cousins.
Jayli would lay under our tree at home and just stare at all the lights.
