I started a "How It's Made" tour group with the kids and moms in our ward that are at home during the day. Our first tour was at the Crumb Brothers Bakery. Dave was really sweet to the kids and made the tour fun! He showed the kids how the bread is made into dough and how it rises and how it's baked. We tried some yummy cinnamon pull apart bread when we were done!

Kynli 8 months
Watch out! This girl is growing fast and into everything. Sister Shae is crawling everywhere and exploring everything. We have to shut bathroom doors and keep a close eye on this little crazy. She had mastered pulling herself up to things this last month! We had to lower the crib and put bumpers around the edges. Kynli can even standing on her own for a few seconds at a time! Which makes me nervous. I'll bet she's walking in a month or two. Hates holding still long enough to change her diaper. But loves having a bath with J. She loves nawing on lots of different foods like cucumbers, carrots, orange slices and crackers. She loves bread and noodles and is learning to use a sippy cup. I think she's getting her 3rd tooth!
I'm even more in love with this little doll today than 8 months ago. She is so silly and fun. She loves to be heard lately. Making very loud yelling sounds. Especially to other babies and kids. And you bet she's learned how to tattle on Jayli. haha it's already starting! Kynli and Jayli got a nasty virus after Christmas, but right when they were better, Jake and I let Kyn fuss it out one night and she sleeps great now! Usually 10-12 hours. I love it and I'm sure she does too.
8 Months stats:
18 lbs 3 oz
5, 5 oz bottles/ day with lots of snacks
goes to bed at 8, sleeps till 7 or 8 am
might wake at 6 but I'll feed her and she goes back to sleep
takes 3 naps during the day

Merry
We shared Christmas in Highland this year. We partied Christmas eve with the whole crew! With Tyce and Kynli now, the kid group seems a lot bigger! Cousins are the best. Jentry and Mindy took all the kids to Big Hero 6 before dinner. We played Right Left Center and listened to a few Christmas messages. We slept at Armstong's on Christmas Eve and can you believe Santa found us? Jayli got to sleep in the bed with Jake and I. At about midnight she said, "you hear dat? Him's reindeers!" It was a long night.
Jayli was the last one up in the morning. But she was so fun to watch. Right away she pointed out her wiggle car and play dough. Then she opened all 4 of our stocking for us. We unwrapped gifts all day it seems. Jake got new boots, snow camo coat and 12 months of dates. I got a new Sonicare tooth brush, clothes and coat. The girls made me a picture of their hands and feet on the back of my wrapping paper! Kynli got fun stuff but just wanted to play with all the paper and boxes. Go figure. We played with cousins and even took a four wheeler ride with Papa.

Potty Training
Potty training has been a night mare. I've tried about 3 other times
this year to potty train Jayli, with zero success. No one could
influence her to go on the potty. Not candy, or toys, or any of her
favorite people. She hated the potty! But one day I took her diapers
away and just made her wear panties. She wet them about 15 times but
after awhile she started to catch on. Finally I got her to go #2 on the
potty! That was easier because I could tell when she was trying to go.
So we'd run and sit on the potty. Finally one time she came out and
said, "i did it!" And she really did! From then on she didn't have any
#2 accidents. We slowly caught on to going pee in the potty. But after
lots of accidents and candy and dollar store trips and 4 sticker
charts.... we got it. Of course this was all during the holidays, but
Jayli Ann now goes on the potty! And I deserve a big, golden trophy...
stuffed with cash and... chocolate!

Meeting Santa
Pure joy on this girl's face when we met Santa this year. Her reaction was so great! I had just as much fun as she did. She asked Santa for a wiggle car and play dough. Kynli didn't mind Santa either. It was so much fun, that I signed them up to meet Santa again at the budge clinic. He comes just for the employee's families, and we brought Capri with us. FYI the necklace she's wearing in the last few pictures, she made all by herself that day at our kitchen table. What an awesome girl!
