7 months going on toddler

Our little Jayli has changed so much in the last month. She has hit some big milestones. I can't believe how quickly she has learned. She is so smart and adorable. I'm so proud to be her mother. Here are Jayli's new accomplishments. She's CRAWLING! I know, I just can't believe it. She went from barley scooting around on her tummy, to hands and knees..... okay usually hands and toes! Don't worry we got a gate put up! Ha she's so stinkin cute. We always see her in the "downward dog" yoga pose. :) She is pulling herself up to things. Up onto her feet! So scary. She's barely 7 months and she's been doing this for about a week. Jayli got her first tooth about two weeks ago! Along with it came her first ear infection. :( She's figured out how to put her binky back in... which is great. Knows what things aren't her toys cause they are always funner to play with. She loves to just climb all over us lately. We lay on the floor and she'll crawl over to us and pull her self up and just smile and talk and bury her face... I love it.

Stats: Jayli weighs 16 pounds 5 ounces. Still has changed to 2 naps hour and half each. Still drinking 5 to 6 ounces 5 times a day. Eats about a 4 oz jar of baby food per day. She would eat enough rice cereal to explode if we'd let her. She goes crazy for the stuff!

Riverdale

Jake and I loaded up the babe and called Tiff and Jaren to come to Preston with us to relax in the hot pots. We had some yummy dinner at Mis Amores and then headed over to Riverdale Hot Springs for some tubbin. Jayli was lovin it. She was the star of the night. Everyone was telling her how cute she was.

On the way home we stopped at the La Tienda before we crossed back to the Utah border. Jake bought everyone a scratch and win ticket. We won four whole dollars! :)

6 whole months!

My sweet, little beauty is already an incredible half year old! So bitter sweet. She is just so adorable and fun but also outgrowing everything and getting big. I wish I could keep her tiny forever.... again bitter sweet..... no I want to see her learn new things and talk and walk.... but she is so little and perfect. Obviously I'm torn up about it. I just can't get enough of her either way.
New things about Ms. J. She is really starting to scoot pretty well. She will turn in circles on her tummy, and has started to use her legs and toes to push herself forward a little. She likes to rock back and forth on her hands and knees, like she's going somewhere. Her new thing is sitting in front of a big basket of toys.... Um all her toys. She puts her chubby little hands inside and stirs until she finds a toy she can pull out. :) She decided she likes carrots now, but hates anything that isn't made just for babies. (potatoes, avocados, etc.) Sits like a champ. Still LOVES to jump. She goes crazy in both jumpers. Loves baby Einstein. Decided it's scary and sad when she can't see me. (bad for um everyone) Rides forward now in the stroller. Likes to throw things out of her car seat. Swings her arms up and down. Loves to watch Nelli. And is now even more noisy!

We are all so excited for Summer and the warm weather. It will be nice to let Jayli play on the grass. There is so much to look forward to. Sunshine, vacations, more pictures! :) Jake and I just love this little doll. The noise, the smiles, the slobber, the crazy hair and every bit of her wild personality.

Swim Partay

Jayli got to shimmy into her first swimming suit! We met our neighbors, the Karrens and the Lows down to the Skyview pool the other night. The water was a little cool so Jayli just snuggled up to us the whole time. But we all had a great time watching the splashing and cannon balls. All the girls stood in the hot showers (in our suits) afterward for a half hour and talked. We decided to go when the babies started to fall asleep in all the warm steam. :)

Mimi and Papa's 30th

My whole side of the family met at Maddox last Saturday to celebrate my grandparent's 30th wedding anniversary. I love these two so much. They are both so giving and involved with every one's lives. So supportive growing up. Didn't miss a basketball game or track meet. They are such a great example of LOVE!
