Halloween

 I used to not really like Halloween. But now that we have cute little girls to dress up, I really like the holiday. This year we attended our ward Halloween party. Carved our own pumpkins. Visited the pumpkin walk... twice :) And had such an awesome trick or treating experience. First off, the weather was perfect! No coats no mittens, no shivering. A warm and happy evening. After trick or treating in our own neighborhood we decided we could get the most out of the activity if we hit the senior living communities. Man that was exactly right. We were the only trick or treaters out there. The sweet elderly couples were sitting out on their front steps just hoping from some cute kiddos to stop by. We made their night, and they made ours!

Jayli was Doc Mcstuffins, Jake was Crocodile Dundee, I was a Kangaroo and Kynli was my little Joey.

Apple Sauce

 Jake kept bringing home buckets of apples from a tree at work that was going to waste. So he and another work friend, Greg decided to make apple sauce. Greg showed us how and we canned 41 quarts all together! I want to document the process so we can remember next fall.

Slice and peel apples. Let them set in cool water to keep from turning brown. This is a lot of work and a sticky mess. Wash jars and rings, and boil lids. Next cook down the apples in a big pot. Add a little lemon juice. Once soft, blend apple slices until they are the consistency you want. Put into a separate pot. Add a little sugar (1 cup/ pot). Pour apple sauce into jars. Wipe off Jar tops and add lid and ring. Tighten. Immediately bring jars inside onto counter. Using a room with a door like the laundry room is best so you won't hear lids popping all night. This sounds pretty simple but it took 4 adults 8 hours! But so so delishious. We add apple sauce to pancakes, cupcakes. Or great for just breakfast or a snack.

Luke Bryan Concert

This AMAZING man of mine took me to Mesa this weekend. We went to the Luke Bryan concert in Phoenix! Jake is the best at surprises and creative gifts. We got to stay overnight at the Arizona Grand and had 32 whole hours to ourselves! In fact a few hours before our plane headed home, we decided to visit the new Gilbert, AZ temple. We found a good will, bought some stylin church clothes and headed in for an hour sealing. We even got to see Jake's old mission companion, Skinner. We had our neighbor Tess Miln watch Kynli. And Jayli stayed at the Karrens' house. I am such a lucky lucky girl!

Kynli 5 months

Kynli is changing so fast! Rolling constantly. Loves to jump. Eating with a spoon. Still loves her big sis and watching her play. Loves to be outside and loves to smile! This little doll is such a sweetheart. She is so beautiful and so smart. Just like Jayli. We are all smitten by our baby kiwi!

 We got an updated picture of our cute little family today. Thanks to our awesome neighbor Michelle Lowe. Can't believe how fast these two are growing. Love my family!

Kynli 4 month

Little Shae is 4 whole months! She is learning so fast. Today she rolled from her back to her tummy! What a little all star. She is now rolling constantly. Such a happy, content little doll. Kynli loves to chill in the stroller on walks with me and Jayli and Nelli. Loves to smile! She learned how to jump in her jumper this month too! We all love our sweet baby "kiwi" to the moon and back.

4 month stats:

14 lbs 7 oz

Drinks 6, 4oz bottles per day

Takes 2, 45 minute naps and 2 hour and half long naps

Bed at 8 then wakes at around 4am to eat
