Merry

We shared Christmas in Highland this year. We partied Christmas eve with the whole crew! With Tyce and Kynli now, the kid group seems a lot bigger! Cousins are the best. Jentry and Mindy took all the kids to Big Hero 6 before dinner. We played Right Left Center and listened to a few Christmas messages. We slept at Armstong's on Christmas Eve and can you believe Santa found us? Jayli got to sleep in the bed with Jake and I. At about midnight she said, "you hear dat? Him's reindeers!" It was a long night.
Jayli was the last one up in the morning. But she was so fun to watch. Right away she pointed out her wiggle car and play dough. Then she opened all 4 of our stocking for us. We unwrapped gifts all day it seems. Jake got new boots, snow camo coat and 12 months of dates. I got a new Sonicare tooth brush, clothes and coat. The girls made me a picture of their hands and feet on the back of my wrapping paper! Kynli got fun stuff but just wanted to play with all the paper and boxes. Go figure. We played with cousins and even took a four wheeler ride with Papa.

Potty Training

Potty training has been a night mare. I've tried about 3 other times this year to potty train Jayli, with zero success. No one could influence her to go on the potty. Not candy, or toys, or any of her favorite people. She hated the potty! But one day I took her diapers away and just made her wear panties. She wet them about 15 times but after awhile she started to catch on. Finally I got her to go #2 on the potty! That was easier because I could tell when she was trying to go. So we'd run and sit on the potty. Finally one time she came out and said, "i did it!" And she really did! From then on she didn't have any #2 accidents. We slowly caught on to going pee in the potty. But after lots of accidents and candy and dollar store trips and 4 sticker charts.... we got it. Of course this was all during the holidays, but Jayli Ann now goes on the potty! And I deserve a big, golden trophy... stuffed with cash and... chocolate!

Meeting Santa

Pure joy on this girl's face when we met Santa this year. Her reaction was so great! I had just as much fun as she did. She asked Santa for a wiggle car and play dough. Kynli didn't mind Santa either. It was so much fun, that I signed them up to meet Santa again at the budge clinic. He comes just for the employee's families, and we brought Capri with us. FYI the necklace she's wearing in the last few pictures, she made all by herself that day at our kitchen table. What an awesome girl!

Kynli 7 months

Kynli started crawling today! About 5:00 tonight she just started moving. We made some fun videos of her first crawling strides. She's such a little sweetheart, so determined to get going. She loves munching on oranges and bread. She's learned how to turn her paci around and put it back in her mouth. Kynli loves to watch Jayli. It's so cute to watch them play together and giggle. Not a lot of pictures in this post because I've used all the pictures I took in so many other posts I've done this month. Kynli's 7 month was a busy one, with Thanksgiving and all Christmas activities so far.

7 month stats:
17 lbs 6 oz
4 naps a day
eats 6, 4 oz bottles a day and oatmeal and jar of baby food

Salt Lake Overnight

We like to visit temple square every December to see the christmas lights. Jake's family comes too. This year the simpers stayed over night at the Seasons with us. Jayli loves to be in charge of the room key and the "alligator" (elevator) buttons. We sat in the hot tub before we met up for lights. Kynli and Tyce are so cute together. The next morning was so beautiful! Again SO warm outside. We walked back up to temple square. We took more pictures this time and enjoyed the sunshine. We stopped into the visitor's center and saw the Christus and the family movie. No crowds made it so peaceful.

"Grampa Ars"

Jake's Grandpa came to Logan with Leon to look at some property. They came up to the house to visit. We don't get to see Grandpa Lars very often because he lives about 6 hours away in Loa. While he was here, he gave Jayli a 10 dollar bill and told her Merry Christmas. She was SO happy! Later she took a picture of him and showed me and said, "look mom, I take a picture of Grampa Ars!" I have a feeling Jake is going to be just like Grampa Ars someday.

Trismas Tree

"Dis is our Trismas tree Kiwi."
A moment like this couldn't have happened without...
The tree hunting, cutting, and decorating. All of which was so fun and enjoyable with our little family. Then we get to read by the tree, dance by the tree, relax by the tree and enjoy the soft glow and soak up Christmas.
