New Year's Eve

We decided to do New Year's Eve just our family at home this year. We planned lots of fun games for the girls. Sledding, Peachy-O off the string, chubby bunny, and sparklers were a few. We had sparkling drinks with dinner and went to bed at decent hour!

Charli 4 months

Charli is such a smiley, happy girl. She smiles at me every time I look at her. I am obsessed with this little chunk. She sits so patiently in her swing watching us all putter around the house. She's learning to use her hands. She loves to jabber and coo at us. She laughs and rolls over more often now. The girls love her but she mostly talks to me. She loves Kamryn too, I think it's because we look and sound so similar. She's trying to figure out how to hold herself up on her arms. Building her back and neck muscles more.

4 month stats:
15 pounds 1 ounce
Still eats about 3- 3 1/2 hours
wakes up to eat once at night

Christmas

This Christmas was probably my favorite one yet. We stayed home!!! It was wonderful. We decided it would be way easier and less stressful to not worry about packing up our entire Christmas. Plus with Charli still so little we would have tons of baby stuff to pack for her. A family of 5 has WAY too much to pack. Instead we talked my family into coming to our house. Tegan is in the MTC so my mom, dad and Kam came on Christmas Eve. We met at the ice center and went skating. We make sugar cookies. We watched Polar Express. We made a delicious goose dinner and played with the kiddos. We dressed up and acted out the nativity story. We had a dance party and opened Eve jammies. It was such a great holiday!
Christmas morning we let the girls sleep as long as possible. About 8. They girls were so excited to see the surprises from Santa. We took our time to open gifts. Our stake sent an email that cancelled church because of all the snow. I was really looking forward to going to sacrament on Christmas. We ate breakfast and my parents packed up. The freeway was closed for part of the morning.  Kam decided to stay with us after Christmas for a few days. We always enjoy her company!

Charli's Blessing

We had a wonderful Sunday celebrating Charli Sue. Jake gave her a name and a blessing in sacrament meeting. We decided to have Charli wear my mother's own blessing dress. Charli was named after my mom. She looked absolutely beautiful in that dress. After the blessing we had the families over for lunch at our house. Jake's parents and sisters were there. My parents, Teg and Kam and Mimi. Not too big of a group. Just right for such a special day. I made chicken noodle soup. My mom made chili and cinnamon rolls. Becky made her famous poppyseed salad.
