Charli’s 3rd Birthday

Oh Charli girl, you are the prettiest little sass a frass! She is the boss of the house and has us all wrapped around her finger. Her lisp melts my heart. Her giggle is contagious. And her hand on hip standard is so incriminating! She can be a big antagonist.

Charli spent her birthday week opening gifts and soaking up all the extra attention. She let everyone we saw on her birthday know, it was her birthday! In fact she used it as an excuse all day. “Kynli I get to go first, it’s my birthday!”

We started August 29th with a bouquet of balloons and snuggles. Then she blew out 3 candles on her big fat doughnut, then ate the frosting only. (Her hair briefly kissed the flame as she leaned into blow. Jake’s fast reflexes saved her hair!)

We took some pictures and took sisters to school. Charli got to pick out a big cake at the store. Grandma Becky and Grandpa Leon came to visit and give her birthday spats. When sisters got done with school, we went to toy story at the movie theater as a family. Then dinner at Mo Bettah, one of her favs. Kam, Kyle and Tegan came over after for cake and gifts. She’s efficient with the wrapper paper this year! 

Charli is growing up but I still hang on her every word. Everything she does is CUTE! I love her tiny, lispy voice and her well-thought questions. She makes my days happy and warm. I’m so proud to be her mom.

Kynli’s first day of kindergarten

What a day for this big girl! Kynli is so optimistic and excited for kindergarten! ✏️🍎 Going to school everyday is gonna be an adjustment for me. She’s the peace maker, tender hearted and always confessing to something. I hope classmates return her kindness. As kiddos need you less and less in their lives it’s hard to trust they’ll be safe. I missed her all 3 hours. Love you Kyn.

Block Party

We hosted a neighborhood party. We're the only house with a lawn so it made sense. Lindsey Black made all the smoked meat and neighbors brought sides to share.

We had a great week celebrating our favorite guy. We went to the rodeo, and he went hunting with his dad. He helped the girls catch a fish and shoot their little bow in the backyard. He's always got a smile and uses his many talents to help others. He can fix anything with his hands and loves to work hard. Jake is the MVP of our family!
