Cabo

Cabo was a great way to take a break from the winter. We teamed up with the chlarson family and planned a fun family vacation. They have 3 girls about the same ages as ours. So everyone had a buddy. Most of our time was spent at the pool or on the beach. The girls loved the whale water slide and diving for rings. With all the swimming daily, Kynli went from being completely dependent on her life jacket to jumping in the deep end, retrieving a ring and swimming it to me under water. Floating in the waves was fun, playing in the sand. We played on boogie boards and paddle boards. One day we took a catamaran out to see El Arco and then over to a bay to snorkel. The girls didn't like snorkeling because the guides were attracting the fish by throwing bread in the water. So the fish was splashing sliding past your leg. :)
Jake found whales with his binoculars and it was fun to watch them jump.

January

 The cold didn't stop us from having fun. We went to the hot springs, we ice fished with kam, hunting, and we played lots in the snow!

December Extras

 Our sub for Santa family this year was a family facing lots of extra medical bills and unemployment. We purchased gifts for the six-year-old daughter Lyla. With our (Nelson Family) combined efforts we were able to provide Christmas for their entire family.  The girls enjoyed eating Kynli’s gingerbread house. Jake and I got to help provide a community meal. Kynli got to meet Rapunzel at Robin's birthday lunch.
